Product Description
Stone Bluetooth headset

Amazon.com Product Description
An innovative headset with a completely new, groundbreaking shape, the Jabra Stone Bluetooth headset elegantly wraps behind the ear--eliminating the standard on-face microphone. The Stone's seamless frame is lined with soft rubber padding for optimal comfort and the headset is flexible for a perfect fit. It also features advanced noise cancellation without the boom arm on your face, allowing it to be discreet without compromising on audio quality.

An entirely new shape for Bluetooth headsets, the Jabra Stone elegantly wraps behind your ear and stores in its own easily pocketable portable charger.

Slide your finger up or down on the nearly invisible touch-controlled volume pad on the outside of the headset to control volume (see larger image and a schematic of all controls).
Doubling as a carrying case, the portable charging fits into the palm of your hand and the Stone stays safely stored and automatically recharged while on the go in your pocket. And with a nearly invisible touch-controlled volume pad on the outside of the headset, you can simply slide you finger up or down to control the volume while on a call.

The Stone is equipped with Jabra's Noise Blackout Extreme technology, an innovative new generation of noise cancelling technology that reduces ambient sound without compromising voice quality. Providing the perfect balance between noise elimination and the delivery of a natural sounding voice, the technology uses dual microphones to capture sound while intelligently filtering background noise only.

4 out of 5 stars Stome review   July 21, 2010

very small and very conveniently has a charger unit that doubles as a portable charger.
Not had any issues with battery life so far so I would highly recommend it.
Jabra STONE Bluetooth Headset with Extreme Noise Blocking

1 out of 5 stars Beautiful, but don't waste your money.   July 14, 2010
Adam D.
It's beautiful and elegant form factor is the Jabra Stone's only redeeming factor. The fact that it's cradle is also a battery-powered charger is pretty neat, but in my opinion it only partially makes up for the short battery life of the headset itself.

I have several complaints about this product, which coupled with it's absurd price tag make it a terrible buy in my opinion.

1. The Battery life of the headset itself is terrible. I'm lucky if I get 45 minutes or an hour before it's dead. When I'm lucky, probably 80% of the time, I hear beeps warning me it's about to die. The other 20% of the time it just dies, no warning.

2. The "Redial" bug. They're actually calling this a feature. The headset has only one button. It's supposed to have three functions - push to answer the phone when ringing, push to hang up the phone when talking, or push to redial. Seven times out of ten when I'm putting the headset back in the cradle, I accidentally push the button and redial the last person I called. After a few months I've become considerably more masterful with the skill of putting the headset in the cradle without pushing the button. I've also learned to check my phone every time I do put the headset back, to make sure it's not dialing. To the best of my knowledge there is no fix for this bug.

2. The Answer button. Again, the only button on the headset, frequently it actually does not answer the phone at all when I push it.

3. Poor bluetooth connection. Frequently my phone won't recognize the headset's presence at all. Only after I replace the headset into the cradle, then plug that into the power will it fix this problem. So if I'm out, nowhere near my usb power cable, I'll just be out of luck. This has happened with both my previous iPhone 3G and my current iPhone 4.

4. Poor audio quality - listening to music through this thing is a joke. The sound quality is fine for phone conversations, but awful for listening to music. Plus, it cuts in and out frequently.

5. Poor microphone. I'm told frequently that I can barely be heard.

6. The volume controls. The idea is neat I suppose, simply gliding your finger up or down the headset will adjust the volume. Good luck. I've been successful with that a few times, so I know it's possible, but I have yet to master that skill - very challenging.

7. The micro usb cord is way too short. It's better for it to be too long than too short, my options for places to charge it is extremely limited without buying a longer cord.

Yes, it's beautiful! But not worth all the headaches or the ridiculous price, don't bother.

5 out of 5 stars Great product   July 4, 2010
Luis Roberto Mendez (MIAMI, FLORIDA, US)
Very comfortable, great sound, great micro, great signal, easy to use and is weightless... for me ... the best of the best. Tried the 2 devices conected at same time, so I was listen music on PC while I was able to answer my phone calls. Very amazing device

3 out of 5 stars Works well without glasses.   July 2, 2010
Robert W. Paris Jr. (US)
I wear glasses and don't recommend this device for anyone who wears glasses. The speaker won't set correctly in your ear if you wear glasses. Works fine otherwise.
Other items: Volume control took a little getting used to. I like the charger idea and battery life is excellent.

5 out of 5 stars Jabra Stone - A pleasant Surprise   July 2, 2010
nehall
I ordered the Jabra Stone Bluetooth Headset before reading the reviews. After reading a few of them, I tried to cancel my order, but was told it was too late and that it had already shipped. So I was ready to refuse it when it arrived, but wasn't home when it was delivered, so that wasn't an option either. I decided I might as well go ahead and give it a try and I'm so glad I did. The main reason I ordered it was the way it looks and it doesn't disappoint. I can hardly tell I'm wearing it and I love the way it lays flat against my ear. I've had no problem with the sound quality, at least not for telephone conversations. I don't like it as a ear bud for my iPod, but that's O.K. I have a headset for that purpose. The battery life hasn't been a problem for me either. A lot of the reviewers complained about having to recharge the unit frequently and maybe if you spend long periods of time traveling and talk on your phone a lot, it would be an issue, but for my use which is primarily around town and an occasional trip with not that many conversation, it works great.
