Excellent headset for the money June 18, 2010 Daniel C. (Dallas, TX USA) This is a great headset for $35. I've tried a couple of sub $20 headsets and this blows them away. The battery life is excellent. I can use it all day (off and on) to make & take calls, and listen to streaming music from my iPhone in the mean time.
Call quality is excellent, sometimes I think it's clearer on the headset speaker than my iPhone 3g handset. The only complaints I've had form those on the other end of the call, already have hearing problems. Most people don't comment on it, but if I switch from headset to handset they say it improves.
The dual mic noise cancellation actually works very well.
Music quality doesn't match the wired iPhone headset, but it's good enough to listen to casually in one ear as I go about my day. It's not too distracting and people say I look professional and important, rather than seeing headphones and thinking I'm slacking off. Also, there is no cord to get caught on door handles.
The gel ear insert is adjustable in that it can be rotated. The ear hook can be turned around for use on the opposite ear. I find that it's comfortable enough to leave in more often than out, even while not using it. It helps not to insert it all the way into my ear. I might consider buying some of the $3 after market ear "jellies" for it available on Amazon.
Pairing works marvelously. I can have the headset turned off (it has a switch for this), receive an incoming call, turn the headset on and put it in my ear in time to answer from the center button on the earpiece, all before the call can even make it to voice mail. I've never seen a headset that can pair this quickly.
I did break the switch on the first day, as I was moving it in the dark while driving and I forced it too far, thinking it was in the wrong position. Fortunately, the plastic switch is built with some play in it. I was able to take it apart and put it back together, using only my fingers and fingernails, within about 10 minutes and have never had a switch problem since.
I DEFINITELY recommend this to friends & coworkers.
It's easily worth the money.
Beware of Jabra June 10, 2010 A. Oyelowo (Washington, DC) First, let me start off by saying that I have been a very good customer to Jabra. I have probably purchased at least 5 different Jabra headsets for myself in the last 5-1/2 years. I addition, also purchased two for my wife, one for my dad, one for my mom, and one for my brother. The long term construction on some of the Jabra models can be questionable. However, the BT 530 is the worst. Make no mistake about it. The on-off switch will break.
Jabra customer support is great. When the on-off switch broke, they replaced the headset. However this is the second time that it has broken, thankfully within the first year. The headset rocks when it is working. The noise cancellation is great, the range is great, and the music over the A2DP works well. I would give it 5-stars if it only stopped falling apart.
This will be my last Jabra purchase. None of these headsets have lasted 1-1/2. Apparently, you can now get an app so that the Jawbone Icon supports A2DP. I met a guy whose Jawbone fell out of his moving car and survived. He has had it for over two years, and he does not use nearly the kid gloves that I do with my Jabra's.
So buyer beware. If you want to give it as a gift, it will make an awesome gift. It works very well. The other user will not even know you are on a headset. It is especially good because you will know what you can give that person again in about two years. It is hard to buy your Dad watches and gadgets for Father's day when the stuff that you've gotten before hasn't broken yet. So that is my silver lining and buy at your own risk.
recommend if you can get cheap June 10, 2010 Benjamin C. Mooney (usa ohio) On/off switch is a joke it will break fast. BUT sounds great and even survived a run trough the washer and dryer and still works. Recommend if you can get it cheap.

Power Button Falls Off May 3, 2010 N. Sanders (SAINT LOUIS, MO, US) The on/off button on the side of the bluetooth falls off. I exchanged my first one and the second one did the same thing.
