Not Bad June 5, 2010 Jake (LA) Charged quickly, paired easily. Has good volume but the first comment from
the person I was talking to was "are you in the bathroom?" Sounded like
that on my end too.
Also I ordered silver, got black instead but no big deal.
This fits my ear better than any of my previous headsets. All the
Plantronics unit hurt after an hour, couldn't wear the Motorola more
than 20 minutes. (I have odd ears I guess)
I've only had this a few days but I think I'll use it a lot more than the
others simply because it's so comfortable.
Works greawt April 21, 2010 Steven I got this for free on 1saleaday. This little piece of unit works perfectly, sounds clear and fits well in your ear. Most people complain about the plastic ear piece hook. frankly speaking, you don't need it. you just stick it right into your ear. trust me, if you don't shake your head crazy, it will never fall out of your ear.
great item for the price April 17, 2010 Julian Carmona excelent item, fits perfect in the ear and its size makes it a perfect item for the price
:-( Bothersome fit, good battery, not much better than WEP470 April 13, 2010 Mother of Twins I bought the WEP301 elsewhere for $23.99 because there was a $23 rebate involved. For $3.99, it's a great product... but I'm glad I didn't pay full price. I rated this 3-stars, "OK," because if you don't have anything else to compare it to, it is just that: OK. It works, it's cheap.
Pros:
1. Battery doesn't need to be recharged often (with light daily phone use).
2. Lightweight
Cons:
1. People complain they can't hear me at times.
2. The ear hook is flimsy plastic and made for a giant. It snaps onto the stem, but falls off frequently when I adjust it while wearing it.
3. Because I can't adjust the ear hook satisfactorily, the WEP301 fall out of my ear while using it.
4. I don't like something in my ear that blocks all sound. Having worn a Jabra BT-8040 that sits in the outer ear with so much comfort, however, the WEP301 does not have enough pros to merit my wholehearted recommendation.
5. When I put the WEP301 in my purse, the rubber gasket that fits in ear canal gets frequently dislodged and falls off the unit. Since the other two gaskets provided are too small and too large, respectively, I am in fear of losing this little black thing. Without it, the WEP301 is hard to hear.
6. The charger is not a mini-usb so you always have to plug it in to a wall adapter.
7. Center button to answer call doesn't always allow me to pick up calls. I have to hit "accept" on my phone. My fingers are small, so hitting the button shouldn't be a problem.
I also reviewed the WEP470. In comparison, the WEP301 is lighter and slimmer, but not significantly easier to operate. Furthermore, as dreadful as the plastic ear hook is, the WEP301's is better than the WEP470's.
descent headset April 3, 2010 optics A descent headset great for cell phone. Noice cancelling needs improvement. Volumn not high enough.
