Good product September 6, 2010 C. Wilber I have found this item to be helpful. My only complaint is the fact that you must have the sound very high in order for the device to respond to my verbal "okay" or "answer" when a call comes in. It is then much too loud for the ensuing conversation, which requires a person to fiddle with the buttons to adjust the sound level (which sort of defeats the purpose of keeping your eyes and concentration on the road while driving). Otherwise, sound quality has been good, no dropped calls etc.
Reliable & Cost Effective Hands Free Option August 16, 2010 Douglas C. Alexander (OR USA) We have several of these. Living in a state where it is illegal to use the phone in the car unless it is hands free makes something like this a must. We have found the units to be reliable and trouble free. Battery life is incredible. The only criticism is that sometimes sound quality for the person on the other end of the phone can be spotty. I am not sure if that is because we are not speaking directly enough into the unit, or if there is some other electrical interference. Other than that, this unit is a good choice.
poor quality July 23, 2010 R. Baltazar (Oregon) this unit must be defective. The volume both ways (mine ond on the called party) changes eratically.
One moment you can hear the caller just fine, the next it fades. Same experience on the other side as what the person on the other side tells me. I've isolated the problem to be from this blue tooth speaker by trying it on other phones, and switching of the device during the call. The quality of audio dramatically improves without the BT device
I wish to return this but if possible
Not as good as SuperTooth II May 18, 2010 BobG (Boston) I purchased the Blueant S1 to replace a SuperTooth II that had worn out (faceplate kept falling off, switch got gummed up after repeated gluing). I like the form factor, but the audio quality is pretty poor. Callers report having trouble hearing me, and I end up holding the phone up to my ear in order to continue the conversation. I do like that it can connect to the audio (as well as "phone") so I can listen to podcasts over the speaker, but it's not worth it when making phone calls is unreliable.
Can't recommend this - I wish I'd tried the SuperTooth III as its predicessor had flawless audio that never let me down!
Not as good as I expected April 27, 2010 Dave (Southern Oregon) I read all the reviews on this product before I bought it, when I received it and set it up I was disappointed with the sound quality, it works, but thats about it.
