Highly Recommend July 29, 2010 BusyMom When I purchased my new vehicle my budget did not allow for the upgraded package that included Bluetooth. My husband found this for me after I complained that I did not like the ear piece Bluetooth devices and it was not only difficult but dangerous for me to try to drive and talk on my Blackberry phone.
It actually does everything that the factory installed Bluetooth on his vehicle does at a fraction of the cost. The instructions were very easy to follow and the device synced to my Blackberry Curve effortlessly. It is very easy to use and allows me to keep my eyes on the road. The sound quality is excellent and everyone I spoke with told me it sounded like I was holding the phone to my ear.
I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in a cost-effective way to add Bluetooth to their vehicle. It announces incoming calls, allows me to use voice prompts to place calls and will play through my radio for even better sound quality (although that is not necessary as the speaker on the unit works great!)
BlackBerry VM605 Visor Mount Bluetooth July 20, 2010 Inge039 Washington State recently passed the "hands free" law for cell phones and driving which prompted me to look into a bluetooth device for my car. This visor mount speakerphone is wonderful! It is very reliable as far as syncing with my LG Chocolate phone. The sound is clear. I have absolutely no complaints on this device and the price is so much cheaper than having Bluetooth installed in your car - plus I can take this visor speakerphone with me when I use a different car.
Really?? different charger July 15, 2010 R Hilliard Started working more from home - looking for a hands free speaker phone for my BB Curve. Got the unit last night - played with it a bit - seems to work okay, BUT, maybe just me - really disappointed the charger connector is different than the one for my Curve.
Really? Yet another charger added to the plethora of chargers I already have, Really??? No thought (Research) to have the same charger for all BB devices, really? Research In Motion, Really? Research In Motion as long as you are prepared to drag a fist full of charging devices with you everywhere-- gives "In Motion" a new meaning "In Slow Motion". With out buying an additional charger - I will be stuck going to the truck to charge it. Cannot use the USB on my computer, cannot use the USB on my iGo battery pack. RIM please spend a few more minutes in the lab next time.
pinoy tundra July 5, 2010 pinoy tundra not good if your running it using fm transmitter, fairly good just using it to avoid violating the highway regulations
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT June 9, 2010 ahm51 (Upper Montclair NJ) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My FM transmitter turned off in the middle of a call. I called RIM for technical support since it might have been a product defect. RIM ONLY PROVIDES SUPPOPRT ON A $50 FEE BASIS. Moreover they said I should contact the seller. Guess what! RIM's own on-line store has no support. I had purdhased 2 of them and sent them back.BlackBerry VM605 Visor Mount Bluetooth Speakerphone
