Love them so far July 30, 2010 z Just bought the HD version to go with my Htc Evo phone. I keep the phone in my tiny gym backpack while I work on the machines nearby and don't loose the signal even though the phone is fully concealed. I find that they are not super comfortable, but if you pull your earlobe gently down to really seed the earplug in it is far less of a burden. Also, I wear my hair down in a low pony tail so the receiver is sitting on my hair and not on my neck. My hair cushions the pressure on my temples as well. The neck resting position could be somewhat of a discomfort to a man. I look like I'm a space cadet from the future and it's very nice not to have to tuck in an ipod with wires into my sports bra. Also, I have had so many headphones in my life and I must confess that the sound from these is exceptionally ahead of the game. It is very similar in bass resonance as my Bose Ipod dock, which is really saying something for speakers you wear on your head. I have yet to run with them. Yet, I don't think these are good for intense running. Technology will have to advance to where the receiver is the size of a grain of rice before I run a 5 k with bluetooth headphones on. Still, I'm satisfied and consider these a delightful technological advancement that I am happy to afford in my lifetime.
How can a headset be of any value with a 23" limit? July 26, 2010 J. Shaffer (Indy) I bought this product from Fry's for around $80. What a horrible disappointment. It has a bluetooth range of about 23", and that's using a bluetooth adapter on a laptop. On my iPhone 3GS, it's got a bluetooth range of 5 or 6 inches. I should have know when the instructions say to use an armband case to maintain proximity. The instructions actually said a shirt-pocket was too far away! By what standard is this a useful device?
Great at first, but quit working, June 29, 2010 Resident2007 (USA) Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R6VE03OCL43QF Sports guy comments on motorolla S9-HD. Great for everyday traveling, going to work, flying across the country; talking to friends while jogging. However, after one vigorous run, they quit working :(
dissatisfied with seller June 22, 2010 S. Bank (Shelby, Ohio) I purchased this through Accessories Wholesale. This place is an affiliate or sold through Amazon com. I know Motarola makes a decent product for I purchased the S9 non HD and still am using it. I had the S9 HD for not even 2 months andthe right ear speaker quit working. I emailed these people (Acc. Wholesale ) and can't even get a reply. If they don't contact me I'm finished. I will not buy from either company in the future. I certainly hope I can get a warranty from Motarola or I'm not done with this.
Rokr Review - pretty good June 12, 2010 joesgt281 I use this to sync with my Blackberry via Bluetooth primarily to listen to tunes that I have stored on the phone. This works very well. I have not been able to get it to work with streaming music from Pandora yet though. I'm sure there's a way, I just haven't figured it out yet.
The only negative is that the way it sits in the ear, it loses some of the bass tones. It's like it's not fitting tight enough. I can press it further in and get some great bass, but it naturally just wants to sit further out. It's got a choice of a few bud sizes, but none seemed to take care of this issue.
The controls work great and answering a call is also very easy.
I like it.
