Amazon.com Product Description BlueAnt's V1 is the world's first voice-controlled Bluetooth headset, allowing you to control most phone functions from the headset thanks to the integrated BlueGenie Voice Interface. Talk to it and it will reply, ask it for assistance and it will assist you in getting the right function. This amazingly small and lightweight headset eliminates the combinations of button pushes, button holds and flashing lights synonymous with advanced Bluetooth devices. One activation button provides you with total control of the V1's entire function menu system via an easy to use voice interface.
Control your phone's functions--including answering and making call--with the BlueAnt V1. | No longer will you have to deal with lengthy or confusing button pressing to access functionality on your cell phone. Instead, the V1 can be controlled with simple phrases like "pair headset," "call home," "volume up" and "accept call." And BlueGenie's voice synthesis capability enables the V1 to speak back to you, letting you know device settings including successful pairing of the headset, battery power level, and more. With voice dial and call answering capabilities, drivers can keep their hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road. The V1 also incorporates dual microphones allowing for BlueAnt's patented Voice Isolation Technology, a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) software solution that uses advanced techniques to separate the user's voice signal from all other sounds, enhancing and isolating all frequencies that affect voices coming into and out of the headset. This results in outstanding environmental noise reduction, echo cancellation and wind noise protection. The BlueAnt V1 works with Bluetooth version 2.1. Automatic reconnect also finds the last cell phone or device paired, and automatically reconnects. It includes several ear gels for an optimal in-ear fit, as well as an over-the-ear clip for added security. It also offers an innovative tie clip lets you attach the V1 headset to your shirt or cuff when not in use. Features - Bluetooth 2.1

This survived a trip through my washer!!! July 9, 2010 Rambo III (Los Angeles, Ca.) I've tried em all. Jabra, Motorola, Jawbone and Plantronics. This one works better than them all. Its comfortable, loud and the voice activation works amazingly well. I was a little skeptical at first but i was extremely happy with the performance. But...that's not why i'm here. I had no intention of creating a review for this because it had enough reviews. However, that all changed because of what happened this past weekend. Because this thing is so small, i accidentally left it in my shirt pocket and threw my shirt into the hamper. When laundry time came around i threw the shirt with the headset into the laundry not realizing what i had just done. I only realized my mistake when i went to the washer after the cycle and was putting the clothes into the dryer i saw the device in the bottom of the wash bin. Boy was i sad and a little angry at what i had done. However, upon further inspection it still appeared to be in perfect brand new condition with no visual damage whatsoever. So i left it on my desk for about a week to dry off and decided to plug it in and give it a charge a few days ago. To my surprise, the light turned red signaling that it was charging. So i laughed and decided to wait things out. After a couple hours i fired it up and hit the button and i heard the words "say a command". Still a little skeptical i told it "am i connected". Then it said..."attempting to connect......your phone is connected." At that moment my jaw dropped and i have since decided to become a Blue Ant user for life. I used it in a 60 minute conference call this morning and it was as if nothing changed. I seriously think they should market this device as water resistant. I would not hesitate to wear this in the rain...i have that much faith in it.
BlueAnt does it again July 7, 2010 Barry Eugene Little (GARDENA, CALIFORNIA, US) The BlueAnt V1 Headset is great I like both it's size, appearance and it's excellent sound quality. It is the perfect headset.
Poor sound quality, Poor voice isolation June 29, 2010 Cliff Partridge (Chicago, IL United States) After reading the reviews on Amazon I thought this headset was a sure win. However, once I got the device, and used it in a noisy environment (walking outside & airports) I discovered that the headset wasn't all it is made out to be. When being used in a quiet environment people could hear me very well; however, when used in a noisy environment, even with noise isolation set to MAX, I was frequently drowned out and listeners complained of noise artifacts garbling my voice. My other issue with this device is that it seems the speaker EQ is set a little bass heavy. So people are very hard to hear as their voices are artificially deep. I'll admit that my hearing isn't the best, but I do not experience this issue with my new Plantronics 975.
I was using this headset with a Motorola Droid, and it is possible that the unit I got was defective as my issues do not seem to be prevalent with other users.
One thing I discovered while using this device is that there is little need for the ear loop, especially when using it in conjunction with the Comply foam tips. However, the tie clip that holds the ear piece does create a strange fit holding the device away from your face awkwardly. Luckily the tie clip is easily removed with a paper clip. Simply push the pin out that holds the clip and viola it comes right off with no damage to the headset!
Very disappointed June 25, 2010 Kevin Rank (Philly) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Controls are nearly impossible to use. If you are male, or have big hands, the volume controls cannot be found while talking. Microphone is poor unless on the voice isolation "max" setting which it only lets you activate while you are in the middle of a call. And the voice isolation button is the same button you use to hang up. You have a 50% chance of dropping your call every time you try it.
Luckily, the poorly designed ear loop snapped off after about 6 months of normal use. I got to throw it in the trash and get something less frustrating to use.
ok June 17, 2010 Vijender Negi I have to adjust the position of the device many times as the sound is not clear for other
