it works as advertise July 30, 2010 Raymond Odem (Puyallup, Wa United States) I purchased this item a few weeks ago and it works as advertise. setup was easy
Cell phone Gateway OK July 30, 2010 J. Gustafson (Charlotte, NC) Installed the Xlink BT with no problems. It synced right up to two cell phones unfortunately it didn't work well with our cordless phones. We have a Vtech 5.8 system that works well with a land line, but for some reason had a lot of static on the lines when used with the Xlink. I returned the unit and will look at a unit that is both a gateway and a cordless system.
Great product! July 29, 2010 Indiglo I've been using this product for over half a year now with no complaints -- I completely replaced my landline service and don't miss it at all. The only thing I don't like about it is that you need to keep your cell phone within 10 feet of the device. If you don't, your phone will constantly connect/disconnect from the device. I remedied that by plugging in a charger near the device, so whenever I get home I connect my phone to the charger and don't have to worry about a thing.
I highly recommend this product to anyone looking to replace their landline phone service. It'd be great if more people used this -- it really does work!!!

works just as advertised - Easy to set up and easier to use (just answer and say hello)
The device does the job. July 16, 2010 THX-1138 The device does the job.
I recently ported my hard line number to a cell phone but wanted to allow my mom to continue to use the regular cordless phones with the new wireless service so I order the XLink BT gateway from Amazon.
After receiving the device, I opened the box and briefly read over the instructions that come with the XLink BT gateway. I had the system working with my cell phone in less than 5 minutes.
Pros:
Extremely easy to setup
Allows you to continue using regular cordless phones
Cons:
A bit pricy
You will get some static
Bottom line, the device does the job.
